"There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature—the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter."
Once upon another life, I worked in Law on behalf of asbestos victims and those suffering from occupational stress and PTSD, but I have always been a gardener. Nature and flowers were forever a refuge, and it was to those things that I returned when I wanted to escape the every day.
I also saw how being in their own green spaces became comforting to clients suffering from terminal pain and psychological illness.
Nature and their gardens held them.
These days, British seasonal flowers settle my mind, and nurture my body and soul. The therapeutic benefits of 'breathing in the green', as I call it, have been well known for many years. As testament to all my clients taught me, I made this my business aim. My wild remedy is dedicated to them. It is for me, and also for you.
I am a second career, qualified, British seasonal florist and small time grower. You can read more about my ethos here.
I am a member of Flowers from the Farm; an award-winning, not-for-profit, co-operative of British
cut flower growers. You can read more about us here
I am a passionate advocate of social and therapeutic horticulture. You will, therefore, occasionally find me at Samlesbury Hall, supporting the creation of The Heritage Garden; a place for social prescribing, mindfulness, and horticultural therapy, and at Brinscall Hall; the North West branch of the UK School of Philosophy, in their own beautiful green space for wellbeing.
I also offer seasonal workshops that allow you to explore the 'wild remedy' that is floral creativity for wellness. Please take a look at my journal here for announcements and details. For Samlesbury Hall festive wreath workshops, please see the link here
For The Harris Museum wreath workshop (Guild Hall), please see here. For The Sanctuary of Healing in Langho, and Brinscall Hall, please await further news.

It's always wreath season here!
I'm craft seasonal door wreaths all year round; the featured example is Spring. Each is unique, with a mossed base and varied, natural foliage. I may add dried flowers, Spring bulbs (in season) and so much more as the mood takes me. Ribbons finish each design, if you'd like.
Please contact me to order your Spring wreath. A 14" frame is standard at £40, and I offer local delivery or collection from Hoghton each season.
Thank you so much for your orders, and for supporting my small business.
