British Flowers Week is almost upon us. It runs from 15th to 21st June, and this year it will be more of a virtual show of all flowers British, rather than an actual, personally attended, celebration of our glorious blooms.
Covent Garden Market is asking everyone to join in and place British flowers in your window so that passers by can see them! They have a website of great ideas for showcasing British blooms. You ca find out more at www.britishflowersweek.com
There is also a virtual flower festival at Strawberry Hill House, Twickenham, on 12th and 16th June, curated by the fabulous Leigh Chappell and Janne Ford. You can book tickets directly from their website at www.strawberryhillhouse.org.uk The cost varies from free to £15.00 and all well worth whaterer
you wish, or are able, to spend.
This is the second year that the House and Gardens has held their flower festival, and there are talks, workshops and demonstrations online to enjoy from some wonderful flower designers.
Whatever you do for British Flowers Week,, support British Flowers in any way you can.
