Hello wreath-makers,
I’m sharing this note to let you know that I'm back at my favourite haunt again this year for another season of wreath making. I hope you can join me at Samlesbury Hall on one of the two dates I have there; Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th December 2024 from 10.30am to approximately 1.00pm for a mindful, creative way to bring the festive season to your home.
There will be hot drinks and mince pies for your arrival, and then we'll spend the morning celebrating the season so that you leave with a festive wreath for your door, or as a centrepiece for your table, that will last for many weeks. We'll take things slowly and enjoy some calm, creative time together.
As well as your hand crafted wreath, you'll also take away a gift of a beautifully scented candle by my favourite supplier, Ethel & Co, that will bring the essence of the festive season into your home.
I've chosen to move away from automated bookings this year and so please email me, or message me on 07973 627339 to reserve your space/s. I will take bookings on a first come/first served basis, and will send you a link where a bank transfer of £65 per person will secure your place.
Numbers are limited to 8 per session alongside me. My workshops are for adults only, and are held in The Billiard Room of The Hall.
In respect of the workshops, please note:
- All wreath-making equipment is provided.
- It can be a little messy, but nothing that a good brush down doesn't remedy!
- Wear warm clothes as the room may be cool depending on the weather; layers are perfect.
Unfortunately, I’m unable to accommodate cancellations once I've committed to the cost of materials. However, if you find yourself unable to attend for any reason, I will create a seasonal wreath for you and deliver it, together with your scented candle, to your home if you live locally.
Make a day of your visit
Once the workshop has ended, you may feel ready for lunch.
For an additional cost payable directly to Samlesbury Hall, you can enjoy a two/three course festive lunch at The Garden Room Eatery (previously The Heritage Cafe) or a mini afternoon tea. You can also head to Dottie's Wafflery for lighter bites and waffles. I'll add the relevant booking pages once I have the menus from Samlesbury Hall.
Later on, you are free to take a stroll around the house and gardens, where entry is free, and where you can delve into the history of this beautiful stately home. Car parking is also free.
Stay the night
To extend your time away, you can enjoy a magical, cosy night at The Gatehouse, or in one of the charming Shepherds `Huts in the gounds of the Hall. After all, 'tis the season, and you might like to enjoy some peaceful enchantment before the festive fun begins.
Please give me a call/text on 07973 627339 if you have any questions.
