It's almost the season for mulled wine, mince pies, seasonal spice and all things nice.
I'm delighted to tell you that my wreath workshops are now live on Eventbrite for December. I'm inviting you to find 'comfort and joy' with me again this year (whatever quantity of each you need) in the stunning, medieval home of Samlesbury Hall as, together, we create seasonal wreaths in preparation for the festive season.
Hand crafted by you; seasonal wreaths are a mindfully beautiful way to bring the festive season to your door, and I'll guide you to design your own bespoke door wreath using seasonal, natural foliage.
We'll enjoy a glass of mulled wine and/or tea/coffee and warm mince pies on arrival, before spending the morning creating with all that nature provides. You'll leave with a festive wreath for your door that will last for many weeks, even after the season has ended.
You'll also take away a luxury CocoSoy candle by Ethel & Co, evocative of seasonal scents in eco-friendly minimalist packaging, to give a warm and comforting glow to your festive home.
Cost per person - £60.00 (includes ticketing fee)
In respect of the workshops, please note:
- All wreathmaking equipment is provided.
- It can be a little messy, but nothing that a good brush down doesn't remedy!
- Wear warm clothes as the room may be cool depending on the weather; layers are perfect.
May I ask you please NOT to attend if you have symptoms of a cold or flu, or symptoms of Coronavirus. Cancellations will be accommodated for reasons of illness only, and full refunds issued up to 48 hours before the event, OR if the workshop space can be filled in your absence. We continue to live with Coronavirus in our society. Numbers are limited to 6 per session alongside me, to allow for safe social distancing.
There are 4 December dates to choose from. Workshops are for adults only, and held in The Billiard Room this year.
Make a day of your visit
Once the workshops have ended, you'll be ready for a seasonal lunch, I'm certain.
For an additional £21/£28 (see festive menu image below) you can enjoy a two/three course lunch at The Heritage Cafe or perhaps head to Dottie's Wafflery for some truly glorious waffles. Please book for either venue via Samlesbury Hall (https://www.samlesburyhall.co.uk/food-drink/restaurant), but you can also book on the day whilst you're here.
Later on, you are free to take a stroll around the house and gardens, where entry is free, and where you can delve into the history of this beautiful stately home. Car parking is also free.
Stay the night
To extend your time away, you can enjoy a magical, cosy night at The Gatehouse, or in one of the beautiful Shepherds Huts in the gounds of the Hall. After all, 'tis the season, and you might like to enjoy some peaceful enchantment before the festive fun begins.
I hope to see you very soon. Please give me a call on 07973 627339 if you have any questions.
